E-learning course on Introduction to International Migration Law
UNITAR and IOM joined efforts to put together this course with the aim of strengthening knowledge on International Migration Law, and its link with Human Rights Law, Refugee Law, International Humanitarian Law, and Criminal Law.
It includes aspects on the protection of migrants, while analyzing the timeframe and evolution of IML, as well as the relationship with the State sovereignty and laws pertaining to entry, residence, and exit.
In addition, it highlights the difference between different categories of migrants and recognizes their contextual issues and rights under international law. It also provides a general overview of the implementation of IML at regional and national levels (in a comparative perspective).
