APPLIED RESEARCH AND IMPLEMENTATION SCIENCE.

iDevPro African Institute in partnership with other academic and non-academic research institutes such as United Nation institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), MAAUN’s African Institute for Solutions and Development (AISD), African Institute of Public Health Professionals (AIPH) are expanding into Research for Sustainable Development (R4SD). 

Additionally the partnership is focusing on local knowledge generation and inquiry based professional research that can contextualize quantitative data, enrich insight, and guide leaders in making more effective decisions leading to Sustainable Development Projects. Drawing on twenty years of experience, the scholars offer a framework for conducting applied research that connects practitioner research to theories of transformational leadership and professional development. They show how to align research studies with the institute’s mission and context and offer step-by-step guidance on forming a research team, designing the research project, collecting and analyzing data, and formulating, sharing, and acting on results.

 

RESEARCH FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (R4SD).

The institute highlights the power of participatory research to counter simplistic, often deficit based narratives about patterns of student achievement and to foster transformational, sustainable development. In an age of data fetishism, the institute puts the inquiry back into
‘data use’ and redefines what counts as data for development professionals. scholars and leaders who want to lead through collaborative learning will join our movement. If you ever struggled with how to effectively design and lead a research team, then look no further because
the institute has developed the road map. The institute focuses on serving governmental and non-governmental organizations and to work on discovering, African contraceptive product for family planning, malaria and sickle cell anemia remedies.

PROJECT DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION

In collaboration with our partners we develop, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate projects and programs to improve global health in African countries. By applying state-of-the-art project management techniques, we ensure interventions are designed and implemented as per beneficiaries’ needs and our partners’ requirements.

 

3.1.0 Innovation, Validation And Application

The institute offers the full spectrum of health, agriculture, and economic Development project management from idea generation, development of project plans and log frames to ensuring timely and smooth implementation. In addition, we monitor and assess project progress systematically using implementation science and ensure corrective action is taken when needed. We evaluate results, implement scale up measures and ensure successful interventions become an integral part of the health system. Monitoring and outcome mapping are of high relevance for successful project implementation in order to demonstrate outcome, inform policy and allow for evidence-based decision making. Our ultimate aim is for health and education sector investments to effectively translate into improved health of our beneficiaries.

Cost effectiveness, sustainability and long-term impact are of particular importance to us. Our experts cover all areas of health system strengthening including human resources development, health information systems, health financing, pharmaceutical management and innovative models for health service delivery. In addition, our team uses high-quality programmatic and financial management skills to effectively oversee the implementation of long-term and large-scale projects and programs combined with well-established organizational processes and standards this allows for effective management of our mandates.
